Day One – Perth to Margaret River region

Busselton Meelup Bay, Cape Naturaliste Canal Rocks

On our way to the
Margaret River region, we will take a break for a refreshing tea/coffee at
Bunbury. Visit the Busselton Jetty that is the longest wood pylon jetty in the
Southern Hemisphere and juts two kilometres out into Geographe Bay. Take a walk
along this awesome structure.

As we progress into
the Margaret River region we explore the scenic coastline and pastoral views.
Take a walk along Meelup Beach with white sands and clear aquamarine
water.  In season you can see Whales breaching out in Geographe Bay.

Margaret River
region is internationally renowned for its quality wine production and fabulous
food. Enjoy lunch at Eagle Bay Brewing Co. with expansive views of farmland to
Bunker Bay.

After lunch visit,
Cape Naturalise Lighthouse and enjoy walk on the Cape to Cape Trail to Sugar
Loaf Rock. Sugar Loaf Rock is a gigantic rock a short distance from the coast.
The views along this easy trail are spectacular.

Continue south along
picturesque Caves Road renowned in the Margaret River region for premier wines
and scenic countryside

Visit Gunyulgup
Galleries which exhibits a diverse range of fine art, furniture, and design of
recognised Australian Artists.

A short distance
away is Canal Rocks, where we see the awesome Indian Ocean surging through the
weathered canals and spot seals lazing on the rocks in the sunshine.

Day Two
– Margaret River region

This morning we continue
south along picturesque Caves Road renowned in the Margaret River region for
premier wines and scenic countryside.

Today sample not only
the region’s best cuisine, also talk to the wine maker and qualified wine
experts of the winery’s we visit.

First stop at Brown Hill Estate a family owned and operated vineyard
established in 1995.  It is a partnership
with Jim, Gwen, son Nathan Bailey who is this winery’s winemaker and his wife
Chiara.

Enjoy a private walk in the vineyard with the Winemaker to discuss what
is happening in vineyard today, visit the Barrel Hall for tasting of the
premium wines hear the story of making for the wine.  As we bid au revoir receive an exclusive complimentary
gift of either 1 bottle of Reserve Red or 1 bottle of Reserve Chardonnay.

At Howard Park private specialised flight tasting of their Icon Wines.
Owners the Burch family are member of Australia’s First Families of Wine (AFFW)
and is the largest family own wine operation in Western Australia.

Our highlight lunch today is at modern Wills Domain. Presenting a dynamic
offering of award-winning wines and contemporary Australasian cuisine from
their executive chef Seth James.

Indulge and be inspired by Seth’s fine dining creations, with a focus on
locally sourced seasonal produce.  Today
sit back and enjoy the Wills Domain experience with a decadent 4-course tasting
menu with matching wine. Wills Domain restaurant is at the pinnacle of fine dining
in Western Australia.

Day
Three

Boranup
Karri Forest, Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse, Vasse Felix, Perth

This morning we drive out to the spectacular coast to Surfers Point. Spot
Whales in season and surfers catching waves before going to work.

Drive through the Boranup Karri Forest on the dirt trail. Boranup Drive a
fantastic soft adventure drive through towering karri trees, some over 70m in
height, with sunlight streaming onto their smooth bright trunks. Maybe spot
emus or kangaroos and many colourful birds. 
At pretty Hamelin Bay paddle with Stingrays that come right up to the
beach edge to say hello.

Continue to Augusta overlooking the Blackwood River and Flinders Bay and
to Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse to join a tour of the lighthouse tower and see the
convergence of the Indian Ocean and Southern Ocean.

Feature a la carte lunch is at elegant
Vasse Felix Restaurant one of Australia’s draw-card establishments and is
regularly reviewed alongside the best in the country.

Local and international highly trained
and skilled Head Chef Brendan Pratt is energetic, vibrant a creative chef with
an interest in uncovering and exhibiting incredible local produce from Western
Australia.

Vasse Felix one of the founding wineries was established in 1967 by Dr
Tom Cullity. After lunch take a browse in the Art Gallery which has exhibitions
